Transparent Business Cards
Make an Impression From the First Hello

Transparent cards only feel premium when the white ink, cutting, and packaging are done right. That's why we keep every order fast, precise, and tightly controlled.

Offset printing

Our business cards aren't washed-out digital plastic printed in a single pass. The white base plus cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (K) are laid down separately — each color checked on its own pass for a sharp, solid result.

Frosted transparent plastic

Don't pay for thin PVC and washed-out print. A 500-micron frosted transparent body, strong white ink, spot UV, and a clean cut completely change how the card feels in your hand. A final varnish layer, applied after printing, makes the surface more scratch-resistant.

Batch production

The plate, white-ink, and spot-UV setup is prepared just once. On a one-off job, a single order has to absorb all of that cost — which is why the same quality costs many times more at most printers. We group orders into planned batches and run them together on UV offset, so delivery follows a set production schedule.

General Info and Brand Impact

Transparent business cards look more modern and eye-catching than classic paper cards. They help you stand out from the very first interaction and leave a more memorable impression. The see-through surface also opens up design options like negative space and layering effects, making it easier to create something truly original.

A business card is a physical communication tool that represents you and your brand in face-to-face moments. First impressions are often shaped by small details. A weak or careless-looking card can leave a negative impression, while a well-designed one clearly reflects the care you put into your work and the professional image you want to project.

Material, Durability, and Print Features

Our transparent cards are typically made from high-quality PVC, usually 500 microns thick. This material is flexible, durable, and water-resistant. Depending on your design, you can choose a fully clear or a frosted transparent finish.

Plastic business cards last far longer than paper ones. They hold up much better against water, tearing, and creasing, and keep their shape in a wallet or pocket over time. The difference really shows in humid conditions and with frequent handling.

Design Process and Technical Details

For the best results, we recommend print-ready files like AI, PDF, CDR, and layered PSD. Be sure to convert your text to outlines and either embed your images in the file or send them separately. This helps prevent any quality loss during printing.

Yes. We review every design you upload against key technical criteria before printing. If we spot any issues with resolution, bleed, safe area, text size, or file structure, we'll let you know — and we can help you fix them if needed.

Special Print Techniques: Foil and Spot Varnish

Foil printing adds a metallic accent using gold or silver foil. Spot varnish gives specific areas a glossy surface effect. With raised varnish, that effect is felt both visually and to the touch. These finishes give your business card a more striking and premium look.

Gold foil is a printing technique applied using a special metallic gold foil. Used on logos, text, or specific graphic areas, it delivers a bright, prestigious look.

Business Card Sizes and Formats

Our standard production sizes are: European 85x55 mm, American 89x51 mm, Square 65x65 mm, and Mini 85x40 mm.

The American business card size is 89x51 mm, while the European size is 85x55 mm. The American format looks slightly longer and narrower. The choice usually comes down to your design style and target market.

Innovative Applications and Add-On Services

Thanks to their durable build and see-through surface, plastic business cards can be used in creative ways across many industries. In the beauty sector, for example, they work as semi-transparent appointment cards; in restaurants, as mini drink or recipe cards; for personal trainers, as workout reminders; and in architecture or engineering, as purpose-built info cards.

Smart plastic business cards combine a physical card with digital content. Scan a QR code or tap with NFC, and you're taken straight to your website, digital business card, portfolio, or social media accounts. We currently add QR codes to cards. For NFC requests, just reach out to us directly.

Ordering, Shipping, and Delivery

The minimum order is 250 cards per person. If an order includes more than one person, the minimum quantity is calculated separately for each person.

No, we don't offer a proof printing service. That's because a single test print requires the same print-prep steps as a high-volume run. As a result, proof printing isn't an efficient option in terms of either technique or cost.
